History
Loft Labs LLC was founded in 2017
as the Research & Development arm of SKYX Group, Inc. a biotechnology and medical device company headquartered in New York City.
As a research entity, Loft Labs focuses on R&D of drug delivery devices, sustainability initiatives in ENDS, and age-verification solutions. Loft Labs has filed for 9 patents of its inventions since launch.
Spotlight: IoT Drug Delivery Devices
Loft Labs focuses on R&D of drug delivery devices. Inventions include IoT-enabled devices for age-verification, supply chain tracking, theft prevention, and regulatory reporting.
Spotlight: Sustainability Research
Loft Labs is researching the environmental and economic impact of ENDS in order to create a recycling framework for governments, industry groups and consumers. This research focuses on:
- Quantifying the CO2 emissions of various ENDS categories, by market, and over time by projected adoption rates.
- Comparing findings to incumbent products to establish a net cost/benefit of next generation product adoption by jurisdiction.
- Studies propensity of end consumers to recycle devices given various collection solutions.
- A longitudinal study to assess implementation of recycling initiatives including collection areas and deposit schemes.
- Creates a model framework for government-led and industry-led initiatives for a sustainable category.
